Liza Faktor

Independent Curator, Visual Artist & Arts Producer

Liza Faktor is an independent curator, visual artist and arts producer working at the intersection of photography, moving image, performance and emerging media. She has curated over twenty exhibitions and festival programmes and has lectured and led workshops internationally across the US, UK, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, UAE, Australia and Russia.

Her work has been presented at Tribeca, IDFA, Sheffield Doc/Fest and Visions du Réel, as well as at institutions and venues including the Dutch Resistance Museum, Musée du quai Branly, Detroit Institute of Arts, Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Frontline Club and IFP Made in New York Media Center. As an award-winning creative producer, she has collaborated with photographers, filmmakers and visual artists on award-winning installations, art films, multi-platform projects and community engagement initiatives.

Liza was a founding member of Vessel, an international art and film production collective, and co-founded the cross-platform production company Screen in New York. She was also the founding director of the Objective Reality Foundation in Russia, a non-profit organisation supporting long-term visual storytelling. She currently serves as Programming and Development Lead at Curatorial Exhibitions.
